Preparation

The level of preparation will be dependent on the site. In most cases this will involve dig out. We then bring in fill and compact it to allow for the correct thickness of concrete. We'll box the area (using flexi boxing if required), then we'll place and tie the steel mesh. We use a laser level to prevent water pooling and we may need to install drainage. Good prep ensures strong, long lasting concrete.

Concrete placing

Isaac and his team will be onsite early to ensure everything is ready. Sometimes a pump will be necessary and other times a barrow. But this will be arranged beforehand as will the concrete mix. A lot of factors will be taken into consideration when choosing the mix such as the weather, site conditions and client preference. The concrete will be handcrafted and finished to a high standard.

After placing

If your concrete is to be exposed, the top layer will be washed off a period of time after placing. Regardless of the finish the concrete will need control cuts to help relieve any pressure and prevent cracks as much as possible. We also acid wash and seal. This usually happens around a month after placing and ensures longevity and easy maintenance of your concrete.
